A boater is the stiffest shape we sell: a flat-topped crown and a flat brim, both held firm with a light sizing in the braid. The band is a plain black grosgrain ribbon, sewn on rather than glued, so it can be replaced. Three head sizes, with a cotton sweatband.
A stiff hat is an unforgiving one. It does not stretch, so measure your head before ordering rather than guessing, and it will not survive being crushed in a bag. The sizing that keeps it crisp also means it marks if it gets wet.
