Anything not here goes to hello@sunloomliving.com, where a person reads it.
Which block the piece was cut on. The women’s block is narrower in the shoulder and shorter in the body; the men’s is the reverse; unisex is one block in six sizes sized by the chest. Anyone can wear anything — the label just tells you which measurements to check. The size guide has all three.
Trousers have a fixed inseam and a fly or zip, so the waist is the one measurement that matters and two-inch steps fit more people than five letters. Shorts have elastic or a drawstring in the waist and a short leg, so a letter is enough. The waist each letter covers is in the size guide.
For linen, up: it does not stretch and it is cut to be loose. For cotton poplin and canvas, your usual size. For hats, up, because straw does not give and a chin cord or a strip of tissue under the sweatband closes a small gap.
Linen pieces are washed after sewing, so most of the shrinkage has already happened; expect about 1% more. The brushed twill overshirt shrinks about 2% in length on its first wash and is cut longer for it. Nothing else here moves by more than you can measure.
Yes, within the hour, and it keeps creasing all day. It is the price of the coolest cloth there is. The linen-cotton blend creases about half as much; the cotton poplin barely creases at all. Which one you buy depends on how much that bothers you, and the fabric guide lays the three side by side.
Pilling. A blend has short cotton fibres alongside long flax ones, and where the cloth rubs — cuffs, collar edge — the short ones roll up for the first few washes. Pure linen does not do it. It stops; a fabric comb takes off what is there.
Dark linen holds surplus dye on the surface for the first few wears and it rubs off onto pale cloth. It washes out of the white shirt at 40 °C and stops happening after the overshirt has been washed twice. It is on the product page, and it is why we suggest washing the dark pieces alone at first.
No. Paper straw is a twisted paper yarn: a few drops will spot it and a proper soaking softens the brim permanently. If it is caught in a shower, let it dry naturally on a flat surface, not on a radiator. The linen bucket hat is the one that goes in the washing machine.
Yes — a tightly twisted yarn made from paper, braided and then sewn in a spiral into a hat. It is lighter and more even than natural straw and does not splinter, and it is what most woven summer hats have been made from for decades. It is not waterproof and it does not like being sat on.
Two things, for 3 years from delivery: a seam that opens, and a button that comes off or breaks. Both are faults of making rather than wearing. We sew it back, at our cost, and we pay the postage both ways.
Creasing, fading, pilling on the blend, snags, holes from wear, a straw hat that got wet or crushed, and anything a hot wash did to it. Those are the cloth behaving as described on its page, not failing. If you are not sure which it is, photograph it and ask — we will say honestly.
No. Tell us when you bought it and what happened. If it was within 3 years of a delivery we can find, it is covered.
No. Under EU and Spanish consumer law you have a three-year right to goods that conform to the contract, and nothing on this site reduces it. The repair promise sits alongside that; it is simpler to claim and it covers things the law might call wear.
Orders placed before 13:00 Spanish time on a working day leave Valencia that afternoon. Later than that, the next morning. The tracking link arrives when the label is printed, a few hours before the first scan.
No. Returns need to be unworn, unwashed and with the size tab still attached, within 30 days of delivery. Trying it on is fine; a day at the beach is not. If a seam goes after wearing, that is the repair promise, not a return.
Yes, if it comes back in the box it arrived in, with the tissue in the crown, and has not been worn out. A hat that has been worn in the sun or has been crushed in a bag cannot be resold and we would rather tell you now than argue later.
To the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway. Import duty and local VAT are collected by the carrier on delivery in those three countries and are not in our price.
