The trousers people buy for a holiday and then wear at home. A wide, flat elastic inside the waistband with a cotton drawstring on the outside, a relaxed leg that tapers very slightly, and a linen-cotton blend that is softer than pure linen from the first wear. Unisex: the waist sizes are the same whoever wears them.
The elastic means they fit a range, and it also means the waistband is thicker than a flat one and shows under a tucked shirt. The blend creases less than linen but it does still crease.
